HOW TO SETUP 2FA IN FORTNITE
UPDATED: 21/11/21 - AUTHOR: Codelife What is 2FA?
Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) a method of security that helps strength your account preventing hackers and other malicious sources from getting unauthorised access. It achieves this via a two step verification system which sends out a temporary confirmation code to your assigned account email address or mobile authenticator app.
Why do I need it?
By setting up Two-Factor Authentication you will get access to compete in all Fortnite in-game Tournaments & Cash Cups. You’ll also receive a free in-game emote called “Boogie Down” & aswell as that you will be protecting your account from hackers.
⚙️ How To Setup 2FA ⚙️
You can setup 2FA via two different methods, either by Email or Authenticator App. I recommend choosing Authenticator App as it’s more secure. Email is easier to setup, but less a-lot less secure.
1) Simply head over to your Account Settings, click on PASSWORD & SECURITY
2) Under the TWO-FACTOR AUTHENTICATION section, choose either ENABLE AUTHENTICATOR APP or ENABLE EMAIL AUTHENTICATION
& That’s It, You’re DONE!
